A brief story about the things that make our lives fascinating

Although we live in a turbulent reality and feel an increasingly exhausting alienation and disunity, we can still find an oasis where positive thinking, supportive friendships, and goodwill among people, regardless of their differences, flourish.

Where is this treasure hidden?

It is not just a place to visit and enjoy, but an extraordinary multinational community of wise and positive-thinking people who have the unique opportunity to communicate daily on various topics in English and share their experiences in the virtual chat rooms of the Vig Village. For some of our fellow members, English is a native language, for others, it is necessary for work, or it is a hobby that allows traveling, exploring the world, and having fun.

This is how the Vig Village community faces the challenges of everyday life dynamics, while developing English language skills and expanding horizons both in chatrooms on Zoom and in-person meet-ups – always in an unforgettable city and a great mood.

What are the amazing places we have visited recently with the Vig Village?

  • In May 2025, over 40 people met in the magnificent city of Prague, Czech Republic. Together, we visited tourist attractions, went on a picnic, and had dinners together – in a joyful atmosphere, improving our skills for speaking fluently in English on a variety of topics.

One of the most enjoyable things in Prague was my meeting with Julia and the unforgettable time in cheerful company with her and the other friends from the Vig Village, where she kindly surprised us with a small gift – a beautiful jewelry handmade by her, which brings elegance and charm. During our conversations in English in the chat rooms, I always felt the friendly atmosphere created by Julia’s presence, and our meet-up in Prague completely confirmed my impressions of her as a warm-hearted person. Certainly, the jewelry made by Julia carries these positive vibes…

  • In early July this year, a group of about 10 people met in the impressive city of Varna, which locals call the sea capital of Bulgaria. I had the pleasure of hosting this meeting and volunteering for its realization.

What do tourists enjoy in Varna?

  • The warm and clear waters of the Bulgarian northern Black Sea coast with the beautiful beaches in the city and the nearby resorts – Golden Sands, Sunny Day, Saints Constantine and Helena.
  • The dolphin show at the only Dolphinarium in the Balkans.
  • The oldest processed gold in the world, which is exhibited at the Archaeological Museum.
  • The Roman Thermae (ancient Roman baths and SPA center).
  • The abundance of attractive bars and restaurants with a rich menu, seafood delicacies, good wines, beer, and cocktails at affordable prices.

Is there a visitor “key” to getting to know Varna?

In his book Think Like a Monk, Jay Shetty explains the Sanskrit term “dharma” as a combination of “varna” and “seva”. According to him, varna can be understood as passion and skills, and seva is understanding the world’s needs and serving others wholeheartedly. When your natural skills and passions (your varna) connect with what the universe needs (seva), and that becomes your intention, then you are living your dharma…

And thousands more things can be shared: about the dimensions of modern life, values and culture; about human relations and communication; about personal development and improvement… Indeed, we do this daily in the unique learning environment of the Vig Village, which charges us with positive energy, provides us with support to improve our English language skills, and broadens our horizons through communication with friendly people from all over the world.
