An AI-powered chatbot that answers questions and helps with writing and communication.
Citizen
A registered member of Vig-Village who has completed the one-month training and pays a monthly, quarterly, or annual fee. Citizens gain access to special chatrooms and events.
Coaching chatroom
A weekly group meeting led by Mr. Vig, where Citizens can ask questions about English, share success stories, and stay updated on community announcements.
Chat 🗨️
Talking casually — either by text or voice. In Vig-Village, “chat” usually refers to live Zoom sessions with spoken conversations.
Chatroom
An online conversation room on Zoom, where Vig-Village members practice English through themed discussions. Small group work usually happens in breakout rooms.

Dead-time
A term used by Mr. Vig to describe moments in the day when we’re just waiting — at the bus stop, in a queue, commuting. Instead of letting this time slip away, we can use it to practice English: flashcards, notes, listening — anything helps!
Discussion format
The typical structure of a chatroom: a short introduction by the host, followed by small-group discussions in breakout rooms based on a specific topic.
Digital materials
Resources (articles, videos, PDF handouts) shared by native speakers before or during a chatroom session to support understanding and participation.

A relaxed, beginner-friendly chatroom format in Vig-Village. Led by a native speaker, it focuses on open conversation with simple topics. Great for new members or those who want to build confidence.
English coaching

Feedback
Comments or advice given by a native speaker (or peers) during or after a chatroom session, helping you improve your English.
Flashcard
A study card with a question or word on one side, and the answer or meaning on the other. I use them to practice English vocabulary — often with online tools like Quizlet.
Fluency
The ability to speak a language smoothly, naturally and without long pauses. One of the main goals for many Vig-Village members.

The native speaker who leads a chatroom. They introduce the topic, guide the flow of conversation, and support participants during breakout room discussions.
I
Idioms chatroom
A themed session focused on English idioms (expressions whose meaning isn’t literal). Participants interpret them and compare with sayings from their own languages.
Input
Any language you receive — through reading, listening, or conversation — that helps build vocabulary and understanding.
Idiom
An expression whose meaning cannot be understood from the individual words (e.g. “spill the beans” = to reveal a secret). Understanding idioms helps you sound more natural in English.

Journal-style writing
A reflective and personal writing style, often used in blog posts or storytelling. Vig-Village participants sometimes use this format in writing practice groups.

An audio recording or spoken episode available online. In the Podcast chatroom, we often discuss TED Talks. The audio is shared in advance so we can listen before the session.

Powerword
A strong or impactful word in English, used to grab attention or inspire. These are often found in speeches, ads, or motivational writing. In the PowerWords chatroom, we practice words like ignite, empower, or resilience.

The world of poems and verse. In the Poetry chatroom, we read English-language poems and reflect on their meaning and emotions. It’s a deeper kind of language learning — both emotional and intellectual.

A tag is a keyword or label I add to every blog post. It helps organize topics — for example, “music”, “guitar”, or “learning English”. Visitors can click tags to find related posts.

Each chatroom has a topic — a specific subject we focus on. It could be a song, an idiom, a power word, or a book excerpt.
