The Power of Words
Yes, I’ve heard about this topic many times before, but I only truly understood its importance when we began reading Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins in the Vig-Village group.
Changing even a single word in your vocabulary can influence your entire life.

Maybe that’s exactly what is happening to me right now.
In our Bookworm Chatroom, we read the book in English and then discuss it together. But the language was so difficult for me that I decided to buy the Hungarian version.
It’s not just a big and heavy book on the outside — it’s deep and challenging on the inside as well.
It requires full attention to understand its message.
Now I’m trying to grasp it in Hungarian first. If I succeed, I translate it into my own words in English so I can talk about it with the group.
I know I can’t recreate Tony Robbins’ exact tone or energy, and since I wasn’t granted permission to quote him directly, I can only share the thoughts that remained with me.
The Importance of a Life Goal
One key message of the book is the importance of having a clear, ultimate goal — even if it feels like a dream.

Don’t settle for small goals. Dare to dream big!
Choose a goal that’s not just about you but benefits others as well.

And once you know your goal, don’t let anything stop you — no matter how hard the road may seem.

it’s a peak you can reach
The Power of Words
It may sound unbelievable, but changing just one word in how you speak or think can shift how you feel — and the choices you make.
Tony Robbins shares that in some ancient cultures, certain negative words don’t even exist.
For example, some Native American tribes have no word for “lying,” and in some communities in the Philippines, there are no words for “hatred” or “war.”

and they live more peacefully
Inspired by this, Robbins removed some deeply painful words from his vocabulary.
I decided to do the same.
He also created a “Transformational Vocabulary” — a tool that helps people consciously shift their emotional state.
For example, instead of calling an argument a “fight,” he calls it an “intense discussion.”
That one word change can completely shift the emotional atmosphere of a relationship.

If our words change — our lives change too.

My Personal Confession-The Power of Bravery
Today, I truly feel brave.
Because it took courage to:
- Join a real community in January 2025, where I met real people live — even if only online.
- Start speaking English after avoiding it for over 50 years.
- Speak in front of 40 people in English, even though I knew only a few words.
- Begin learning the guitar at the age of 66.
- Attend a 3-day online meeting in English, and continue with a 1-month English course using AI.
- And finally, as a complete beginner, build my own bilingual website — with nothing but the help of artificial intelligence.

I’m not perfect.
But every day I’m a little braver than the day before.
