2026 brought many changes to Vig-Village. So many, in fact, that I had to write a separate post about them.
Two new native speakers arrived (Shaneen and Siobhan). However, Reéne left. As a result, the Thursday and Friday Travelling and Story chatrooms have been discontinued. But we have new chatrooms instead! For example, the Shadowing chatroom, where you repeat after a short video recording. First sentence by sentence, then the whole thing, trying to stay as synced with the speaker as possible.
Another new addition to Vig-Village is the Phrasal Verb chatroom. Here, we can practice using the massive number of phrasal verbs, like ‘go on’. We also have a new Business chatroom. Marni is the host, and you can learn business and marketing related expressions from her.
BridgeAudio has changed its name to Atomic Homework. Similarly, PowerWords became AtomicWords. The name of the MeetUps has also changed. From now on, they are called Vig-Village-Vacation.
What else changed…?
Now I remember! Game-Night is now held twice a week. You can play on Thursdays as well as Mondays. I almost forgot that the Sunday MemberLead chatroom has also been discontinued.
Unfortunately, I ended up making the chatroom page too complex (it contains nearly 100 links). Therefore, I won’t risk applying these changes there, as it would likely break the page.
