Here I present my own photos of Pontiac cars. In addition, I share the knowledge I have gained about them from CHATGpt over the past two weeks.
Pontiac Bonneville 1958
This car embodies American luxury of the 1950s: lots of chrome, a long and wide shape, and plenty of chrome details in the passenger compartment.
Features:
Wide, horizontal chrome grille with dual headlights on both sides (this was the first year Pontiac had dual headlights).
Small “eyebrows” above vertically paired headlights.
Wide, horizontal chrome radiator grille combined with a massive bumper.
“BONNEVILLE” lettering on the front edge of the hood.
Three slanted side vents behind the front wheel arches.

Pontiac Bonneville Hardtop Coupe 1960
The Bonneville was Pontiac’s top model at the time, with powerful V8 engines and a wealth of features.
Distinguishing features:
- Wide, horizontal slatted radiator grille with circular headlights (double) on both sides.
- Very long body, characteristic of the Bonneville luxury model.
- “Wide-Track Pontiac” shape, a stylistic feature of the 1960 Pontiacs with a wider track and flatter stance.
- Side chrome trim running towards the rear wing.
- Rear fins are more restrained than on the 1959 Bonneville, but still visible.
